Terms & Conditions

1. Who we are

Map of Croatia is sold by Cartography j.d.o.o., a Croatian simple limited liability company (j.d.o.o.).

  • Address: Stjepana Radića 1, 49221 Bedekovčina, Croatia

  • Registered at: Trgovački sud u Zagrebu

  • Director: Mario Jurina

  • Share capital: 100 EUR, paid in full

  • VAT: Cartography j.d.o.o. is not registered for VAT (PDV). VAT on your purchase is handled by Whop as merchant of record (see Sections 3 and 5).

  • Email: hello@mapofcroatia.com

  • Website: mapofcroatia.com (app at app.mapofcroatia.com)

By creating an account or buying the map, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not buy or use it. "We" and "us" mean Cartography j.d.o.o.; "you" means the buyer.

2. What you are buying

Map of Croatia is a digital map of Croatia with 500+ hand-picked spots, used in your web browser through an account at app.mapofcroatia.com.

  • It is digital content, not a physical product.

  • It is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. Nothing renews.

  • You get access immediately after payment.

To use it you need an up-to-date browser and an internet connection. The spots are for travel inspiration. We curate them carefully but cannot guarantee a place is open, safe, or unchanged when you get there. You are responsible for your own travel and safety.

3. Price

The price is 50 EUR, one time, shown in full at checkout before you pay. There are no hidden fees and nothing to deliver physically. Whop, our payment provider, acts as merchant of record: any applicable VAT for your country is already included in the 50 EUR and is collected and remitted by Whop, so you are never charged anything on top of the price you see.

4. How you buy

  1. You go to checkout, enter your details, and give the consent in Section 6.

  2. You confirm by clicking the payment button (labelled "Buy now" or "Pay").

  3. The contract is made when we confirm your purchase and give you access.

  4. You receive a purchase confirmation from Whop, and we give you access to the map.

Payment is handled by Whop (Section 5), which, as merchant of record, issues your purchase receipt.

5. Payment

Payments are processed by Whop, which acts as our merchant of record (the seller of record for the transaction). Your card details are entered directly with Whop and handled under Whop's terms. We never receive or store your full card number, only confirmation of payment and limited transaction details.

6. Your 14-day right, and how it is waived

6.1 The normal rule

As an EU consumer buying online, you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a purchase for any reason, under the EU Consumer Rights Directive and the Croatian Consumer Protection Act (Zakon o zaštiti potrošača).

6.2 Why it does not apply here

The law makes an exception for digital content you access immediately. You lose the 14-day right if, before buying, you:

(a) expressly ask for immediate access to the map, and
(b) acknowledge that you lose the 14-day right by doing so.

You give this consent at checkout, through our payment provider Whop, before the payment is taken.

6.3 So the map is non-refundable

Once you have given that consent and we have given you access, your purchase is final and non-refundable, because you received the map immediately and gave up the cooling-off right. This covers changing your mind. It does not affect your rights if the map is faulty (Section 7).

7. If it does not work

Your legal rights if the product is faulty cannot be waived. Separately from Section 6, if the map is faulty or you genuinely cannot access what you paid for:

  1. Email hello@mapofcroatia.com and tell us the problem.

  2. We will fix it or restore your access within a reasonable time.

  3. If we cannot, you are entitled to a price reduction or a refund, as the law provides.

This does not cover a change of mind, problems with your own device or connection, or a spot having changed or closed in the real world.

8. Your account

You sign in with Google. You are responsible for keeping your login secure and for activity under your account. One account is for one person; you may not share it. Tell us if you think someone else has accessed it. If you seriously break these Terms we may suspend or close your account, with notice where reasonable, and without a refund where the law allows. Your rights in Section 7 still stand.

9. What you may and may not do

We grant you a personal, non-transferable licence for one person to use the map for your own, non-commercial travel.

You may not: share, resell, or transfer your account or access; copy, republish or redistribute the map or its spot data; scrape or bulk-extract the data; reverse engineer the software except where the law allows; use the map or its data to build a competing product; or use it unlawfully.

10. Intellectual property

The map, the choice and curation of spots, the data, the text, the design and the software are owned by Cartography j.d.o.o. or licensed to us. The base map tiles come from Mapbox and may include OpenStreetMap data, whose attribution applies. Nothing here transfers our intellectual property to you beyond the licence in Section 9.

11. Availability

We work to keep the map available but provide it on a reasonable-efforts basis. It depends on third-party services (Vercel, Supabase, Mapbox) and may have occasional downtime, maintenance, or changes. Spots may be added, changed, or removed over time. This does not reduce your rights in Section 7.

12. Our liability

Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or your mandatory consumer rights (including Section 7). Otherwise, and only as far as the law allows against a consumer, we are not liable for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable, and our total liability is limited to what you paid for the map.

13. Changes

We may update these Terms. The version in force when you buy governs your purchase. For continued use, we will make the current version available and flag material changes.

14. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by Croatian law. If you are a consumer, this does not take away the protection of the mandatory consumer rules of the country you live in, and you keep the right to bring a case in your own country's courts.

If you have a complaint, email hello@mapofcroatia.com first. We will reply in writing, normally within 15 days. If we cannot resolve it, you may use an alternative dispute resolution body competent for consumer disputes in Croatia.
